French Commodes, Pair - 19th Century


Made during the Reign of King Louis Philippe I who was King from 1830-1848. He was cousin of King Louis XVI. This fine pair of cherry wood commode chests of drawers would be ideal as bedroom chests of drawers next to a bed. Or placed in a very smart drawing room. The chests follow the elegant Neo Classic design of good taste. Each having two long drawers with gilt-metal brass ring handles. The secondary timber is pine. Each chest is raised on four square tapering legs.
