Let’s talk about armchairs for a minute. They might not be as impressive as a sofa, or as crucial as a bed but people get strangely territorial about their armchairs. There’s something about a small space (or seat) that’s comforting. We all have a spot in our living areas that’s ‘ours’ and for many, that means a perfectly formed armchair. We’ve picked our top three from Bazaar which we think you’ll love too.
If you’re into a mid-century aesthetic this one is for you. The Conte Armchair is a beautiful velvet armchair with lovely sloped arms. We think it’s a perfectly shaped chair to compliment any interior. This chair has solid wood legs in a dark wenge colour with polished brass cups. The ruby red colour adds a touch of luxury.
Banbury Court Armchair
Looking for something a little more bold? The Banbury Court Armchair is the one for you. Inspired by the Utrecht Armchair by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld 1935, this eye catching modular style armchair makes a true statement, with its deep, comfortable seat cushion and the super chunky upholstered arms. Pictured in a rich burnt umber velvet which transforms the angular chair into an opulent jewel piece. Perfect on its own or paired up either side of low side table. The Banbury Court Armchair is one of the pieces of The Hexagon Look.
