Summer is here and there will be a lot of us boarding planes for long awaited vacations (we’re not bitter, promise). With holidays on the brain, we’ve been drooling over some incredible hotels designs that are quite honestly, a little bit of us. So we wanna share them, because for us, the art of design is all about inspiration from different places, cultures and people all around the world.
So let’s have a lil look.
Hotel Casa Hoyos, Mexico
Old meets new at this Mexican hotel, sat within a former Spanish colonial manor in the city, which is home to many colourful baroque-style buildings from the mid-1700s. The design featuring bold yellow tiles throughout the outdoor hallway and atrium, that are said to resemble a large corn cob. Genio.

Ana Beach House, Thailand
We’ll have a bit of this. Retro furniture with statement bed frames add an eclectic look to this luxurious beach house. The suspended wicker seating on the beachfront is inspired by Thai culture and buddhism, very vibey.Credit: Ana Beach House Thailand ana-beachhouse.com
Faena Miami Beach
Welcome to Miami. Argentine hotelier Alan Faena recruited ‘The Great Gatsby’ director Baz Luhrmann and his wife, Oscar-winning, costume and production designer Catherine Martin, to give this 1940s building a properly theatrical makeover – and we’re here for it.

The Silo Hotel, Cape Town
Views don’t get much better than those in Cape Town, but here, the interiors are quite the rival. Art deco vibes for days, with vibrant pops of colour combined with antique style furniture gems. We need to check this one out for ourselves.

Hotel Petunia, Ibiza
Chilled vibes in Ibiza at Hotel Petunia, where simple, colourful design meets boho scenes. A relaxing retreat where the inside comforts are brought outside, with ample cosy seating and rugs that make it a home from home. We’re in.

Aman Amanruya, Turkey
Okay, this one is pretty damn Zen. Get us to Turkey to soak up some of this bliss. So when they say simple designs are beautiful, this is what they mean. Sat amid olive groves and cypress trees on the Bodrum Peninsula’s serene north coast this village-like resort has in free-standing guest pavilions, all with private pools. That’s a lil bit of us.
